Alternative Dispute Resolution (A.D.R.)

Dal & Veldekens highly favours alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, in particular arbitration and mediation.

Georges-Albert Dal, Frédéric Veldekens, Patrick Parmentier and Patrick Van Leynseele are frequently appointed as arbitrators by the following institutions : CEPANI (Belgian arbitration institution), International Chamber of Commerce, Chambre of Commerce of Brussels, American Arbitration Association.

Marc Dal has been appointed co-president of the Cepani 40 on 1st January 2009.

Patrick Van Leynseele is frequently appointed as mediator. He is accredited as such by the Brussels Business Mediation Center (BBMC), Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris (CMAP) and the Nederlands Mediation Instituut (NMI).

Teaching

Georges-Albert Dal, Lucette Defalque, Patrick Van Leynseele, and Eric Boigelot also pursue a university career. They teach in various universities in Belgium (Université Catholique de Louvain and Université Libre de Bruxelles) and take part in research programmes directed by leading research institutes.
